Funeral for Annie Louise Richards, 73, of Cullman will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Valley View Baptist Church with Horace Swann and Kenny Rogers officiating and Moss Service Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Richards died Monday, July 28, 2003, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1930, in Cullman to George and Lunie Stewart. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Richards, and her son, Joseph L. Richards. Survivors include her special friend, Emmett Ashley; four sons, Lavern (Shirley) Richards of Hanceville, Ramon (Barbara) Richards of Winchester, Tenn., Marlin (Gail) Richards and Ronnie Richards, all of Cullman; four daughters, Mary (Arvin) Evans of Decatur, Shelby (Randy) Dunn of Hanceville, Sherrie (Charles) Coan of Danville and Diane (Johnny) Gholson of Adamsville; her mother; three brothers, Wayne Stewart of Hanceville, James Daniel Stewart of Center Point and Donnie Stewart of Cullman; four sisters, Virginia Peck of Cullman, Sue Martin and Bobbie Allinder, both of McCalla, and Nina Franklin of Bessemer; 21 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Barbara M. Richards; and a host of nieces and nephews.
