Obituary of Alice-H. Lucier

GRAFTON— Alice H. (Lucier) Rose passed away peacefully July 29, 2005 at age 91. Her husband Ernest W. Rose passed away March 9, 1999. She is survived by her children, Shirley Chaponot of South Grafton with whom she lived and William Rose of Nome, Texas. 1 brother, Louis J. Lucier of Northbridge, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rose was born January 29, 1914 in Northbridge, one of 11 siblings, to John B. and Dena (Lavallee) Lucier and was a lifelong resident of South Grafton. She was a trimmer at Paul's Hat Shop in Worcester for many years retiring in 1962. Alice was a communicant of The Parish Church of St. James. She loved arts and crafts creating many beautiful items with sea shells. All are welcome to a visitation for Alice Tuesday August 2nd from 9 to 9:45 am in The Roney Funeral Home North Chapel, 152 Worcester St. (Rt. 122 & 140) North Grafton. All are invited to a graveside funeral service following the visitation at 10: am in Fairview Cemetery on Providence Rd. (Rt. 122) South Grafton where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
