Obituary of Alan Forbes

ALAN FORBES CHESTERTON, IN Alan Forbes, age 63, of Chesterton, formerly of Gary passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011. He is survived by five children: Michael Forbes of CA, Scott (Latoya) Forbes of Merrillville, Vanessa (Matthew) Towner of Chesterton, Crystal Forbes of Chesterton, and Bernadette Darden of VA; mother, Sylvia Forbes of Portage; sisters: Patricia Elkins of Portage and Sharon Lorenson of CA; brother, Michael (Marilyn) Forbes of Portage; seven grandchildren: Michael, Lily and Aaron Forbes, Shawn, Lance, Nia Forbes, and Brooklyn Towner. Preceded in death by father, Theodore Forbes. Alan was a graduate of East Gary Edison High School, an Air Force veteran of the the Vietnam War, and a retired truck driver for Creviston Trucking Co. with 20 years of service. Private services were held for the family at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Chapel (2700 Willowcreek Road, Portage) Friday, December 9, 2011 with Rev. Jerry Ulrich officiating.
