William Richard (Dick) DOUGLASSuddenly on July 1, 2015 at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. Loving husband of Shirley. Beloved father of Susan, Don (Glenda), Mike (Joy) and Scott (Mary). Proud grandfather of his 8 grandchildren: Amanda, Emily, Daniel, Alyson, Samantha, Nicole, Shannon and Aidan and two great-grandchildren: Luca and Brooklynn. Missed by his sister Barbara Fabans. Our family would like to thank the staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care over the past few months. Dick was born on April 10, 1928 in Windsor, Ontario. He attended Queens University and was a High School Teacher in North York. He married Shirley Rose Boot on September 29, 1951 in Weston, Ontario. Dick was Past Master of Aurora Rising Sun Masonic Lodge, Member of York Region Police Chorus and Member of Probus Club of Aurora. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Pkwy. S. (at Yonge St.), Aurora.
