SNYDER, Roy October 21, 1922 - April 8, 2011 Roy came to Canada as a child on May 26, 1928 aboard the Holland - America Steamship line with his parents Emil and Lydia Snyder, along with his three sisters Marge, Freda and Tillie. They settled in Morris Manitoba, where his parents gave him four more siblings Elsie, Ruth (Toots), Dorothy (Dot) and Johnny. In 1938 Roy headed out west for Vancouver, where he spent a number of years logging on the coast and later spent the rest of his working life working on the water front. During the war he spent time in the military. Roy spent his last 21 months at the Broadway Pentecostal Lodge and the family would like to thank the staff with a special thank you to Eleanor. They would also like to thank Pansy, Ernie and Mark for their many visits. Roy was predeceased by his parents, his sister Elsie and his brother Johnny. Roy is survived by his sisters Marge, Freda, Tillie, Ruth (Toots), Dorothy (Dot) and many nieces and nephews and friends. Internment was at Maple Ridge cemetery.
