Born in Cadyville, NY on February 26, 1929 and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Beatrice Fountain Prevost. A 1952 graduate of St. Lawrence University, he received his MBA from Harvard University in 1954. Mr. Prevost began his career at W.R. Grace, Cryovac Division in 1954 in Lockport, NY and later worked in Ontario, Canada and Duncan, SC, having served as Vice President before retiring in 1992 following 38 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Laura Marie LaRue and husband, Robert of Naperville, IL; a son, William Paul Prevost and wife, Michele, of Brentwood, TN; six grandchildren, Christie Sullivan and husband, Gary, Katherine Prevost, Robert, Thomas, William and Kristen LaRue; five step grandchildren, Ryan, William and Allen Lewis and Joseph and Sarah Kalousek; and a sister, Carolyn Pochatko of Niagara Falls, NY.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie; and a brother, Herbert.Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 111 Hampton Avenue, Greenville, SC 29601 or St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church, 1215 S. Highway 14, Greer, SC 29650.Visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 4, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Washington Street.
