Richard Alan Lane, 70 BRIDGTON -- Richard Alan Lane, 70, of Portland Road, Bridgton, died June 14, 2008, at the Bridgton Hospital. He was born in Brownfield on Sept. 15, 1937, the son of Archie W. and Hazel (Wentworth) Lane. Richard had been employed for over 30 years with J.R. Mains in Bridgton and most recently as a log scaler with Bailey Manufacturing of Fryeburg for over 8 years. In his spare time he loved to hunt and fish and truly enjoyed repairing small engines. Richard was a volunteer with the Bridgton Fire Department and a member of the Bridgton Rifle Club. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan (Ridlon) Lane; two sons, Bruce Lane and his wife Sue and Kenneth Lane and his wife Lisa all of Bridgton; two sisters, Marjorie Sanborn of Brownfield and Carol LaDoe of Utah; and six grandchildren, Spec. Corey Lane of Hawaii, Jessica Webb of Casco, Krystal Lane, Kenneth Duncan and Griffin Duncan all of Bridgton and Samantha Duncan of Gorham. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
