ObituaryPeter Edward O'Keeffe went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 19, 2005. He was born July 20, 1941 in New York City, NY and moved to Fort Myers in 1973. Pete has been a long time realtor on Sanibel-Captiva and Fort Myers.He is survived by his wife Mary Ann O'Keeffe, 3 children, Kelly O'Keeffe of Yellow Springs, OH, Claire Harworth and Tracy Walters of Charlottesville, VA and 2 grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Marge Hohner (Michael) of Milwaukee, WI, Mary O'Keeffe of Johnson City, Tenn., and a brother William O'Keefe, Jr. (wife Kathy) of Tucson, AZ, and 3 children and 2 grandchildren through marriage.Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Church of the Resurrection, Fort Myers, FL. Family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass at 10:30 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice in lieu of flowers."He has fought the good fight" and is now released from his suffering after a long bout with cancer. Many are the people who call him "friend" and "brother" because of his love and concern for his fellowman through his Christian faith to which he testified through his words and actions.
