HENNESSY, MARY ELLEN "MEL" LEATHERS, 65, of Louisville, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon B. Leathers. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bill Hennessy. Also surviving her are her children, Steven Hennessy and Susan Hennessy Wine (Robby); grandchildren, Jakson William and Hennessy Grace; her mother, Beaulah Leathers Arnold; brother, Larry Leathers (Susan); and sisters, Barbara Seidl (Eddie) and Belinda Maloney (John). Her funeral service will be at noon Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Ln., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is noon - 3 and 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Louisville.
