-> Marvin Patrick "Pat" Cohen, 89, of Savannah, Georgia, husband of Belle Cohen, died Sunday morning, January 22, 2006, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Born in Chicago, Illinois. He was a retired corporate lawyer with his private practice in Chicago. Mr. Cohen did pro bono legal work in the state of Arizona for clients who were unable to pay. As well as reading law books for Princeton's program for the blind. He was the president of the National B'nai Brith bowling association, an avid golfer, as well as a bridge player. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven L. Cohen. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Belle Cohen of the home; two daughters, Carol Devine and her husband, John, of Savannah, Georgia, and Gayle Tipp and her companion, Jay Hay, of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Gilda Lesser of Highland Park, Illinois; five grandchildren, Steven Tipp, Debbie Brown, Michelle Tipp, Sarah Buchanan and James Devine, and six great- grandchildren. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Remembrances: A charity of the donor's choice.
