Mildred Downey, 58, of Stuart, FL, died Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at Martin Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, and had been a resident of Stuart for four months, coming from New City, Rockland County, NY. Prior to retirement, she was esthetician in New City for 15 years. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart. Survivors include her husband, John Downey of Stuart; one son, John Downey of Yonkers, NY; two daughters, Jeanette Levasseur of Nanuet, NY and Jill Downey of White Plains, NY; one brother Raymond Sanchez of Pembroke Pines, FL; two sisters, Alice Bubello of Quincy, MA and Mary Celentano of Manahawkin, NJ; and two grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart.
