BERRY, Mr. Joseph, a resident of Montgomery, AL, expired on Friday, February 8, 2002 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. from the Weeping Willow Baptist Church with Pastor Leon Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Eastwood Cemetery with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to services. Family Hour will be held on Friday, February 15, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from the E.G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his father, Henry (Mattie) Allen, Montgomery, AL; two brothers, James S. Steward and Will E. Steward, both of Montgomery, AL; three sisters, Conswello (Maurice) Chambless, Biloxi, MS, Patricia (Richard) Hardy, Montgomery, AL, and Jacqueline (Chris) Fisks, Birmingham, AL; three aunts, Katie Stovall, Oklahoma City, OK, Alice Luster, Cincinnati, OH, and Elosie Gantz, Detroit, MI; two uncles, Matthews Allen, Montgomey, AL and Joseph Allen, Cincinnati, OH; three step-sisters, Lana (Ernest) Lester, Frankie (Atwood) Smith, and Jacqueline (Lionel) Hills, all of Montgomery, AL; three step-brothers, Lucious Turner, Micah Davis, and Tommie (Vicky) Davis, all of Montgomery, AL; one niece, Auriana N. Gadson, Tampa, FL; two nieces; two nephews; seven step-nieces; nine step-nephews; a host of cousins, other relatives, and many friends; and a friend, Juanita Chappel, Montgomery, AL, and George Chappel (foster child).
