JOHNNY CALVINBROOKS, 64Route Salesman ELOISE - Mr. Johnny Calvin Brooks, age 64, of Eloise passed away Sunday October 18, 2009 in Tampa, FL due to cancer. He was born in Eloise on March 21, 1945 to the late Jack and Lucille Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a US Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War with the rank of Corporal. He was a route salesman for Wonder Bread, member of Eloise United Methodist Church and involved in many civic and community organizations. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Jack Broward Brooks and Lucille A. Weeks Brooks and son Johnny Patrick Brooks. He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Freda Hoosier Brooks, brothers Jackie Brooks (Judy), Winter Haven, Chester Brooks, Wahneta, and twin brother Jimmy Brooks (Cathy) Bartow, sister Joann Skipper (Carl) Eagle Lake. Visitation is Wednesday 6 till 8pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Funeral services are Thursday 10:00am at the funeral home chapel.
