YARDLEY, Pa. -- John K. Shea, 56, formerly of Manchester, N.H., died Oct. 28, 2009, after a courageous battle with Mantle cell lymphoma. He was born in Manchester to Timothy and Margaret Keenan Shea. Mr. Shea enjoyed an impressive career in the insurance industry, most recently as president and CEO of Atlantic Mutual Insurance Co. His previous positions included COO of Cambridge Integrated Service and executive vice president and chief claims officer of IRISC, Inc. He was known for his selfless relationship to colleagues throughout his career. Mr. Shea was an avid golfer, Red Sox fan, reader and loved spending time traveling with his family. He was a member of St. Ignatius Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister. Mr. Shea's family was the focus of his life. Family includes his wife, Susan Keaveney Shea; children Matthew and Alison Shea; and sisters, Rose Mary Shea Clark and Kathleen Shea; both of New Hampshire. SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Ave. (River Road), Yardley, Pa. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, Langhorne, Pa. A memorial service to be held in Bedford, N.H., in November will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to The Temple BMT Care Fund at TUHS-BMT Program, 7604 Central Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. 19111.
