John J. Shea of Hingham, formerly of Milton, passed away Nov. 25, 2012, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Patricia (Morris) Shea, he was the loving father of John J. Shea and his wife Donna of Weymouth, Thomas H. Shea of Mansfield, Dennis M. Shea and his wife Lee Ann of Rockland, Timothy Shea and his wife Amy of Haverhill, Jean Maloney and her husband Frank of Rockland and Susan Aylward and her husband Jimmy of Rockland; cherished grandfather "Moosie" of 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Shea was employed for the U.S. Postal Service for many years until his retirement. He was also a friend of Bill W. and a Korean War veteran serving with the U.S. Army. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday prior to the funeral Mass in St. Pauls Church, Hingham, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
