Avis de décès de Joanne Boyd

Joanne Stoia (nee Boyd), 74, of Montville, N.J., formerly of Newark, N.J., passed away Thursday evening, Feb. 17, 2011. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave., Belleville, N.J., (megaromemorialhome.com). Mass is at 10:45 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, Newark. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.J. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Stoia was a court clerk in the Criminal Division of the New Jersey Superior Court in the Essex County courthouse for 18 years before retiring in 2008. She was active with the Barringer High School Alumni Association, Montville UNICO and St. Lucy's Church. Mrs. Stoia encouraged the education of her sons. She took pride in her profession and the fashions she chose for work. She enjoyed spending time socializing with friends, baking, cooking and relaxing at the beach while reading the newspaper. Mrs. Stoia is survived by her sons, Michael and Samuel Stoia; her sister, Marie Iannacone, and many beloved friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester, and brothers Joseph, Samuel, Toby, and Frank Boyd.
