JOANHAMMONS, 71Executive Secretary LAKELAND - Joan Fortin Rogers Hammons, 71, passed away on August 30, 2007 from cancer. Born in MA, she moved to Lakeland in 1961. She was catholic. She retired from American Cyanamid Company after 24 years as Executive Secretary to the General Manager. She then worked at the Scotty's Distribution Center for 7 years as a secretary to the director. She then worked at Lakeland Farmer's Market for 16 years. Joan was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gertrude and Harold Fortin. She is survived by her 2 children Elise and Royce Rogers and 3 grandchildren, Alex, Ava, and Ashley Rogers. Services will be on Saturday. Sept. 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3855 S. Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL.
