PLANT CITY -- Mrs. Jeanette Shaw of Plant City died of cardiorespiratory failure Sunday (Nov. 21, 2004) at Tampa General Hospital.Born Nov. 14, 1935, in Winter Park, she came to Plant City from Winter Park 66 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, deaconess, reporter and chairman of food service.Mrs. Shaw is survived by her husband, John T. Shaw Sr.; sons, John T. Shaw Jr. and Leon Shaw, both of Plant City, Henry Shaw, Ocala, and Anthony Shaw, Sumter, S.C.; daughter, Kim Shaw, Sarasota; adopted children, Serena Shaw, Mulberry, and Arletha Berry, Plant City; sisters, Cindy James, Fayetteville, N.C., Thelma Jones, Plant City, and Loretta Gilbert, Tampa; brother, Feldon Debrow Jr., Black Mountain, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Charlow Funeral Home.
