CHICOPEE - Jean Jacques Therrien, 93, a longtime resident of Montgomery Street in the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Sunday, December 4, 2005. He was born in Acton Vale, Province of Quebec, Canada on April 2, 1912 a beloved son of the late Jules and Marie (Jette) Therrien. He moved from Canada to Chicopee in 1946 and later moved to Montgomery Street in Chicopee Falls in 1961. He was employed for many years by the former Uniroyal Tire Corporation in Chicopee. He was a communicant of Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls. His beloved wife, Marie Rose (Ducharme) Therrien was Called Home on August 21, 1997. He leaves his many dear nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his dear brothers, Gaston Therrien and Paul Bergeron. His funeral will be held Thursday morning December 8, 2005 at 9 a.m. from the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street at the junction of Grattan Street in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Saint George Church, 7 Belcher Street in Chicopee Falls. His burial will follow the Mass at Saint Rose Cemetery on Olsen Street in Aldenville. His family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Rose Chapel on Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. before the Mass.
