McMILLEN, JAMES "J.W." WILLIAM, 69, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away November 25, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East. He was a very proud and devoted veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a retired millwright, lifetime member and past commander of the American Legion Post 157 of the Son's of the American Legion post 157, American Legion Riders Post 157, lifetime member of AMVETS and member of the 40/8 Voyageur 1387. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. McMillen and Ora Elizabeth Lykins Carrithers; stepfather, William O. Carrithers and nephew, Lance Barnhouse. J.W. will always be loved and remembered forever and always by his wife of 49 years, Charlene Bridwell McMillen; his three beloved children, Tina Drury (Ronnie), Joseph W. McMillen and Michelle Crouse (Malcolm); his four loved and treasured grandchildren, Meagan Drury, Sarah Drury, Taylor McMillen, Keara Crouse; sisters, Betty Jo Armstrong and Patricia Barnhouse (Philip); one niece, four nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew, one great-great-nephew and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitations will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday
