September 14, 2012 James W. Keefe, 72, of LaFayette, died Friday at his home. Mr. Keefe was the owner/operator of Keefe's Auto in Syracuse. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and raising beef cows. He was the 1965 NY state flat track motorcycle racing champion. Surviving are three daughters, Laury (Jeff) Cianciola of Forestport, Kim (John) Manley of Vestal and Mary Beth Tarolli of North Syracuse; four grandsons, Douglas and Justin Knapp of LaFayette and Johnny and Brandon Manley of Vestal; two great-granddaughters, Delanie and Katherine Knapp; two sisters, Anna Nason of Dennison, TX, and Margaret Woodford of Cortland; his stepfather, Bruce Klock Sr. of North Syracuse; and two stepbrothers, Bruce Klock of LaFayette and Jerry Klock of Constantia. Jim was predeceased by his wife, the former Dorothy Campbell, on August 18, 2011, and his parents, James and Florence Keefe.
