Avis de décès de James-J. Bowden

BOWDEN James J. Bowden, 81 of Ponte Vedra Beach, a former longtime Jacksonville resident, passed away October 3, 2003. A native of Ray City, Ga., he was a retired office manager for Davis Furniture, an overseas Marine Veteran, having served his country during WW2. He was a past member of the board of the pastorial committee, and a current member of Beaches United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Virginia G. Bowden; 1 son, Randy Bowden; 2 sisters, Reba Morris and Eris King; a sister in law, Frances Bond; a brother in law, Henry Carter, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1pm Monday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home (38th St. & Main) with Rev. Bob Turner officiating, burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to The United Methodist Childrens Home in Mr. Bowdens memory.
