Homer Hugh Myers Homer Hugh Myers, 79, a corrections officer with Florida Department of Corrections for 26 years, died Dec. 4, 2009, in Perry, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise Dees Myers, of Perry, Fla. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Fla., with burial at San Pedro Cemetery in Madison, Florida.Family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. EST Dec. 7, 2009, one hour prior to the service. He is also survived by a son, Bruce Myers and wife, Joyce, of Vienna, Va.; two grandchildren, Keith Myers and wife, Juliana, and Scott Myers and wife, Michelle; one great-grandchild, Hayden Myers; one brother, Richard Myers of Lawton, Ok.; and several nieces and nephews.He was a native of Columbus, Ga., living in Perry for the past 50 years, moving from Monticello.
