George Madison Drummond, 85, of Spartanburg, died Monday, October 20, 2008, in Black Mountain, N.C. Born May 2, 1923, in Spartanburg, S.C., he was the son of the late Charles Manly and Virginia May Drummond and the husband of 51 years to the late Rachel Magness Drummond. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah D. Tomlinson and her husband, Lee, of Greenville; and a son, G. Wayne Drummond and his wife, Angela, of Black Mountain, N.C.; a granddaughter, Katie Tomlinson of Greenville; and two grandsons, Matt Tomlinson of Greenville and Sam Drummond of Black Mountain, N.C. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Manly Drummond, Jr.; and a sister, Kitty Drummond Bridgforth.Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel in Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, P.O.
