AUSTIN, George Albert - July 10th, 1948 to November 18th, 2006. George left us peacefully at home with the love and support of his family at his side after a short courageous battle with lymphoma. Loving husband and soul mate for 38 wonderful years to Ellen. He was a devoted and proud father of Aaron, Dana (Stephen O'Hare) and Cathy (Danny Thompson). Adoring Grand Pa to Keegan and Georgia Thompson. Cherished son of Donald (predeceased) and Edna Austin (Frank Brown). Brother of Audrey (Eddy Martin), Don (Fernande), Elaine (Bob Brown), Gordon (Lillian), Cathy (Tom Jolly), Anne Marie (Israel Slodovnick), Lorrie (Dave Roberts) and Jane (Tom Pollack). Son-in-law of June Fletcher and Ken (predeceased) brother-in-law of Susan (Gino Santi). George worked at INCO in the Plate Shop and Warehouse until his retirement April 1st, 2000. He was always willing to help whether is was volunteering at charity bingos or being a trainer for CCMH. Animals were a special part of George's life. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his retirement at the cottage on Manitoulin Island. George will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He is now reunited with his many friends including Rusty over the Rainbow Bridge. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 at 10 am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Cancer Centre or Wildlife Refuge Center, Walden would be appreciated. Prayers 3 pm Monday. (Friends may call 2-5 & 7-9 pm Monday). 10444000
