DIER, Fredrick James - Passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Elva (Coughlan) for 60 years. Loving father of Susan and Tom (Nancy) and forever missed by grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth and Meagan. Fred is survived by his brother Stan (Helen), many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law Ed (Pat) and Bill (Mary). Predeceased by brother Clinton and parents James Porter (Pete) and Cora Enid (Wiley). Fred wore many hats in his lifetime; a teacher in Scarborough, owner and director of EEP Student Travel, York Learning Centres and Camp Wakana in Parry Sound, where he went by the nickname, Tuck. Family will receive friends at the Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket, ON, Saturday, December 5, 2009 beginning at 1:30 p.m. for visitation, 3 p.m. funeral, followed by reception. Fred will be forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
