DIXON Donald Dixon East Orange resident, 45 Donald Dixon died on Tuesday at his home in East Orange. A funeral service will take place at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St. in Somerset on Monday at 11 a.m. The interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Friends and family may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St. in Somerset. Born in New Brunswick, Mr. Dixon lived in Plainfield before moving to East Orange in 2005. He was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs in East Orange as a driver. He played high school football for Plainfield High School and was past president of A.F.G.E. Local 1012. He is survived by his parents, Benjamin and Helen Dixon of Onset, Mass.; his brothers, Kenneth Dixon and his wife, LaVern of Newark; Rodney Dixon of Edison; Jnoai Dixon of Piscataway and sisters, Christine Dixon of Onset, Mass., and Karen Dykes and her husband, Bruce, of Jersey City. He is also survived by his special niece, Shanice Dixon and his uncles, Warren Dixon and his wife, Carolyn of Newark and Luda Dixon of Louisville, Ky.
