Dolores (Reckard) Mackey, age 84, died Dec. 23, 2013, at the Plymouth Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was the devoted wife of Fred R. Mackey of Plymouth. Born in Pennsylvania, July 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Florence (Vanderslice) Reckard. She was educated as a dental assistant working for the U.S. Army. Dolores moved to Plymouth from Haddon Heights, N.J., 15 years ago. She was an avid swimmer, and enjoyed doing yoga, gardening, cooking, and working on crafts. She was also an animal lover and especially enjoyed bird watching. Beside leaving her husband Fred, Dolores was the loving mother of Robert Walter Mackey of Nebraska and Linda F. Mackey and her husband Atty. Lloyd Rosenberg both of Plymouth. She was the cherished grandmother of 4, Shalon, Alicia, Jeremy and Kendra; and great-grandmother to Adalind. Visitation will take place Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the Cartmell Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth.
