In Loving Memory of DENNIS D'ARCY 77 Years Of St. Joseph's Villa, who passed away Friday morning, November 19th, 2004 after a courageous and inspirational battle with Alzheimers. He was born in Sheenboro Quebec and moved to Sudbury in 1949. Dennis worked as a Police Officer with the Copper Cliff Police, later working Security and First Aid at Inco. He retired in 1985 with 37 years of service. He was a devout Roman Catholic who belonged to St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. He enjoyed music, his hunt camp on Coburn Island and his sauna at Clearwater Lake. His love of family, relatives and friends, devout faith, sense of humour and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Loving husband of Audrey (Piquette) precious father to Christine (Jim Spencer) of Sudbury, Muriel (Jim Read) of Ottawa, David (predeceased 1981) and Colleen (Ron Scagnetti) of Sudbury. Cherished papa of Jamie Read, Toronto, Tyler Read, Carleton University, Kaitlyn Read, Guelph University, Sean Spencer, Laurention University, Sarah Spencer, U. of T. and Shannon Spencer, Laurentian University. Beloved son of Patrick and Mary D'Arcy (predeceased). Dear brother of Doreen McGuire (Sylvester), Harold Darcy (Catherine) of Sudbury, Cecil D'Arcy (Helen) of Pembroke, Claire Foley (Don) of Toronto, Mary Beggan (Tom), Dominic D'Arcy (Noelle), Theresa Morris (Fred), Leona Ouellette (Denis), Helen Chalifour (Dennis) of Ottawa, predeceased by Clarence, Joseph, Patricia and Arnold. Survived by sister-in-laws Noreen Darcy (Clarence) and Rita D'Arcy (Joseph). Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Until we meet again dear, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Rd, Sudbury, Monday, November 22nd, 2004 at 10 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Prayers 8 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society Sudbury Capital Project of St. Joseph's Villa. Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
