DONALDSON, Captain (N) David Redford OMM, CD On Sunday, May 1, 2005 in Kingston, Ontario, in his 76th year, after a battle with cancer. He had a long and distinguished career in the Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian Forces, retiring in 1982. Predeceased by his first wife Gaie. He is survived by his loving wife Sherrill, his three sons James (Joyce), Bruce (Gina) and Jeremy (Jane), his step-son John, and his grandchildren Tricia, Andrew and Emma. Also survived by his two sisters Jean Day and Anne MacKinnon. A service for close family and friends will be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd @ Highway 2) Kingston, on Thursday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
