ALEXANDER, DOROTHY DEMOES Age 77 of Birmingham, AL fell asleep in the hands of the lord on January 16th, 2013. She was born October 3rd, 1935 in Lefkr, Greece and moved to Alabama in 1951. Dorothy and her late husband, Tony Alexander followed the American dream of being the proud original owners of the Ranch House Family Restaurant in Vestavia Hills, AL. She enjoyed spending time with her customers and treated them as if they were family. She also loved a good game of poker, cooking, reading, and going to church. She is survived by her children, Gail Jones and Tommy Alexander; her sister Penny Choraitis; and her grandchildren, David and Dorothy Jones and Katie Harris, and Tony and Meleah Alexander. The visitation will be at 9 a.m. at the Holy Trinity-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM and the burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
