Avis de décès de Charles Morton


The Rev. Charles E. Morton, 88, died June 20, 2013, in Vero Beach. He was born in Charleston, W.Va., and moved to Fort Pierce in 1975. He was a retired pastor of the Church of the Nazarene for 33 years and was pastor for four different churches in Florida and two churches in West Virginia. He worked for 24 years as a truck driver with Smith Transfer. He was also a dedicated associate for Haisley Funeral Home for more than 30 years. He was a veteran of the Army serving during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Morton of Fort Pierce; sons, Eddie Morton of Garden Dale, Ala., Terry Morton of Seffner and Gregory Morton of Pensacola; daughters, Tonya Turner of Sebring, Kaye Morton of Charleston, W.Va., and Treva McClure of Vero Beach; stepdaughter, Bonnie Mallow of Fort Pierce; sister, Emma Jean Watts of Kenova, W.Va.; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda A. Morton. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. June 29 with a service to follow at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1280 27th Ave., Vero Beach. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. A guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com.
