CONDON, CATHERINE REGINA (FLEMING), born October 4, 1918 in Kansas City, MO, passed away at the Episcopal Church Home. She was the last surviving child of Elizabeth (Moran) Fleming and William F. Fleming. The youngest of six children, Gina was preceded in death by Bernard, Ellen Eileen, Mary Margaret, Elizabeth Rita and Frances Josephine. Gina attended school at Loretto Academy in Kansas City (now Kansas City Academy). She married in 1943 to Paul Eugene Condon. Gina is survived by two sons, Kevin Paul Daniel Condon of Denver, CO, and Mark William Fleming Condon of Louisville. Gina was a member of St. James Catholic Church on Bardstown Road, where she served as a member of the Alter Society. She also served in the Nazareth Home Auxiliary. Gina lived in Waverly, IA and San Diego, CA before moving to Louisville in 1987. In her working life, she was a legal secretary and bookkeeper. She was an avid reader and lover of classical music. Those dedications influenced her children: Kevin, a singer and musician, and Mark, a lifelong teacher and advocate for literacy. She had five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2009. Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
