PARKES, Carol(nee Rosaasen)After a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, Carol Janet Parkes, at age 76, passed away peacefully at Kinsmen Place Lodge on December 6, 2014. Carol was predeceased by her mother Hazel; father Harold; sisters Belinda and Helen; brother Morley; brother-in-law Ken; sister-in-law Donna and nephew Jason. Left to cherish Carol's memory are brothers Lennard, Gary and Dean; sisters Joyce, Barbara, Sharon, Valerie, Judy, Bonny, Diane; many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Carol travelled extensively, loved attending family reunions, enjoyed live theatre, concerts, football games and dancing. As a young girl Carol loved to sing. She was most proud of her Winnipeg roots and being one of fourteen children, ten girls and four boys. Carol retired from a successful career as an Insurance Underwriter. Carol's passion for fun and her gregarious laugh made her a pleasure to be with. A special thank you to sister Joyce and brother Gary for watching over Carol the past few years.Rest in peace dear Carol.
