MANCHESTER - Brian Michael Barrett of Manchester died Jan. 22, 2015, at the age of 60. He died in California, suddenly, of a cardiac event. He was visiting relatives in conjunction with a family reunion that he had helped to organize.He was born in Manchester on Nov. 16, 1954, the eldest son of Malcolm and Judith (Celen) Barrett. He was raised in Hooksett and graduated from Manchester High School Central in 1972. He subsequently graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor's degree in animal science and later obtained a master's degree in education.Brian had diverse interests and was multi-talented. He pursued his passions for education and dairy farming throughout his career. He served as a teacher, principal, dairy farmer, agricultural inspector as well as other positions throughout his life, primarily in Maine and New Hampshire. Brian had a special interest in animal science and the breeding of dairy cows.Brian was a devoted friend, co-worker and family member. He is survived by his parents, Malcolm and Judith Barrett; his siblings, Kevin, Craig and Joi Barrett; his nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.No services are planned.
