Avis de décès de Bernard Brady


Bernard Edward Bernie Brady, 83, of East Walpole, died peacefully on Friday, July 25th, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of 59 years to the love of his life, Kay Brady who pre-deceased Bernie in January, 2013. Raised in Readville. Graduate of Hyde Park High School. Bernie served as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and then had a second career as a Mechanic with the M.B.T.A. He is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy in life was his family. He loved playing golf at Ponkapoag and is well known for his skill in all sports, especially hockey and golf. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching football and hockey on TV. He could fix anything! He travelled to Florida every winter until a few years before his passing. In everything he did, Bernie was fortunate to be always surrounded by wonderful, loyal friends whose company he loved. He was the son of Molly and Tom Brady, who were born in Ireland. Bernie is survived by two daughters: Kathy ORourke and her husband Tom of Westford; Peg White and her husband Tom of Walpole; and three sons, Bernie and his wife Helene of East Walpole; Tim and his wife Kim of Walpole, and Tom and his wife Karen of East Walpole. Loving "Grampy" to: Joe, Matt, TJ, James, Michael, Brendan, Megan, Katie, Michaela, Kerianne, Patrick, Trevor, John, Conor, Thomas, and Susie. Bernie also leaves two brothers, Thomas Brady of Dedham and John Brady of East Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews and good friends. Predeceased by a dear sister, Mary Brady Landers. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Bernies Life Celebration on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4-7 PM and Friday, August 1, 2014 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Marys Church, 176 Washington Street, Walpole on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
